Beginners Magic Camps

5 DAY CAMP

This magic camp is for beginners of all ages and meets 1 hour per day. The camp is limited to just 10 students to insure every student gets personal instruction during the entire camp. Times are Pacific Standard Time.

 

The camp is designed to be fun and engaging to introduce the student to the performing art of magic. 

 

Below is each days theme and the tricks we will learn:

 

Day 1: Theme is Commitment, Tricks are Floating Cup, Disappearing Coin, Jumping Rubber bands

Day 2: Theme is Trust, Tricks are Disappearing Toothpick, Vanishing quarters, Karate Clip

Day 3: Theme is Smile, Tricks are Torn and restored napkin, Balls over head, Mental Crayons

Day 4: Theme is Shine, Tricks are Zippy, Key card, This, that, and the other

Day 5: Theme is Fun, Each student will learn to enjoy their hard work and have fun performing their favorite trick for the class!

 

After registration you will receive a material list through email. If you do not already have these items they can be easily found at the grocery store. Also included is recommendations for books, videos, and items for further development.

Intermediate Magic Camp

In this camp we dive into classic sleight of hand magic using basic magic props (*Props purchased separately*). As well as develop our performance style and presentation skills. 

We meet 1 hour per day for 5 days online via zoom. All ages are welcome, however some younger children may find it more difficult, do to the need for fine motor skills (recommended age 9+, or 8 with well developed fine motor skills)

A video of each day's tricks will be available for viewing after the camp to assist in learning.

Below is each days theme and the tricks we will learn:

 

Day 1: Theme is Keep it Natural, Tricks include thumb tip magic

Day 2: Theme is Presentation Time, Tricks include rope magic

Day 3: Theme is Interaction gets a reaction, Tricks include sponge ball magic

Day 4: Theme is Practice makes...better, Tricks include coin and card magic

Day 5: Theme is Get out there and do it, TIme to practice performing. It's one thing to learn a trick, it's another to perform it for people. Here you get to practice in a safe place. Plus I'll give you lots of great tips and pointers.

*A separate purchase of magic props is required, approx. $15*
